So without further ado let get started!

10 Step for The Perfect Morning Routine

#1. Plan your morning the night before and go to bed early

Doing the littles things before bed, like putting your clothes out, makes you feel less stressed about the next morning. When planning your morning the night before you are setting yourself up for success.

You are much more likely to get up early knowing that everything is in order and ready to go. Doing the littlest things before bed like packing your lunch and like putting your clothes out will make you feel less stressed the next morning.

You will be much less frantic or more relaxed.

#2. Wake up early

I’m sure you guys saw this step coming but waking up early is a crucial step in a healthy morning routine.

I am not saying to wake up at 3:30 in the morning, but  wake up early enough so that you have enough time to collect yourself and your thoughts before jumping into the “work” part of your day.

#3. Drink Water

Everyone knows this by now right!? This is one you cannot simply ignore. Drinking water  is one of the easiest tasks we can do for ourselves in the morning that does not require much brain power but provides so many benefits.

After not drinking water for 8 plus hours, your body is dehydrated and is in need of hydration. It is a simple thing you can do for your body that will help you feel refreshed and rejuvenated!

I love having this drink first thing in the morning as it’s perfect on an empty stomach.

#4. Move

Getting some kind of movement after 8 hours of not moving feels amazing. Depending on the morning I prefer to start off with light yoga, stretching or pilates or a mix of them all.

Here are some of my favorite yoga and pilates youtubers

#5. Read 15 minutes every single morning

It took me some time to develop this habit in the morning, but I know I am so grateful that it is part of my healthy morning routine.

Reading 15 minutes in the morning is a sure fire way to start your day motivated and inspired and productive. Books about faith, health, wellness, self-care and lifestyle are great as are business and entrepreneurship books.

Or alternatively choose books on your field of work or passions. It will be great for your personal growth and you will be doing better than your past self.

#6. Go Outside

This is by far my favorite thing to do in the morning. Going outside and getting those  first rays of sunshine just hit differently.

It is an instant energy and mood booster. Going outside promotes the production of serotonin and gets your body in tune with the healthy circadian rhythm so that you sleep better and wake up better.

It is free, feels great and it does wonders for our mental health. See you outside!

#7. Eat a wholesome healthy breakfast

You are what you eat. Literally. I live by that mantra. We need healthy whole foods to fuel our brains and bodies for the day ahead. And there is no doubt that breakfast is the most important meal of the day.

Choosing to eat a wholesome breakfast  will give you the edge you need for the day. If you find yourself short on time in the morning try making breakfast the night before.

These overnight oats are delicious and easy to make.

#8. Plan your Day

Planning your day is one of the most satisfying things for me to do in the morning.

I love doing it. Setting some tasks, errands etc in a visual helps you manage your time better and helps you complete the things you wanted to get done.

If you’ve got a lot of things to do in one day and feel overwhelmed, plan your day and you will feel motivated to accomplish your to-do list.

#9. Limit Social Media Time/Phone Time

I know it is so easy to get sucked into scrolling on instagram as soon as you wake up but it is very computer productive to a healthy morning routine.

Stay away from social media for the first couple hours to ensure a mindful healthy morning routine.

Social media, emails and calls can all wait. It will be there when you start work. So put yourself first and stay away from social media for the first couple hours to ensure a mindful healthy morning routine.

#10. Practice Gratitude

Write down and journal what you might be grateful for. Doing this in the morning starts your day off on a positive note and a strong mental state.

Studies have shown that showing and expressing gratitude everyday can lead to happiness and alleviate symptoms of depression and anxiety. What you focus on grows, so if you focus on the many blessings you have everyday, that will multiply.
